Dear Archive,
Salü and Herzlich Willkommen to all of you! Whether you joined a while back or found me at Nomad Fest a week ago, I am delighted you are here. More than anything, this newsletter is my commitment to sharing our learnings and progress with you, to host real experts, organise webinars and give you genuine value, rather than noise. Because in the end it is all about the people and this lifestyle that make it all worth it. I have two main aspects to share and love your feedback, see you soon!

🎉 It was awesome. Thanks for coming!
Bansko Nomad Fest was awesome: the people, the energy, all of it. It was exhausting, I am still recovering, but I enjoyed every minute, every conversation and every encounter. THANK YOU ALL for joining, your support, and for making this event special. You are all incredible!
🔥 The FIRE Unconference session at BNF You showed up, far more of you than we ever expected. The interest was so strong that one hour in a tent could not do it justice: the questions were still coming when the time ran out. If there is one thing it confirmed, it is that the people and the shared experience are what make this nomad lifestyle special. That is the whole reason for this list, so we want to keep the conversation going: share our experience and insights, and learn from you in return. A rising tide lifts all boats. Let us create a tide. 🌊 You are invited. Stefan and I are putting on a proper follow-up webinar. Hop on, it is open to everyone on this list. 👉 Interested? Join the webinar.
Going deeper, with Stefan. A quick word on who is behind this, so you know why it is worth your time:

Stefan Willems, Cofounder, Bansko Mountain Homes

The Webinar. It is a two-part series. Part 1 is confirmed for Friday 10 July (choose your time here). And Stefan is not doing theory. He will walk through the practical steps: how to actually choose a broker, what to look for, and how to make your first move without overthinking it. Getting your hands dirty, not a lecture. Part 2 follows a little later, going deeper into portfolio building and the numbers that actually matter: savings rate, the FI number, the tax angle for nomads and expats.

A personal recommendation: I recently watched this Diary of a CEO interview with Jeremy Grantham, co-founder of GMO. Fair warning, it is nearly two hours, not a quick watch, but it is full of insight on market cycles and long-term thinking that I found genuinely worth the time.

∞ Meanwhile, in Bansko ∞
🏡 The connections we make, that makes the difference!
Mons Orbelus is now about one year in the making - a real estate project with a strong team - Cristian, Stefan and I are actively working on this project since about two years already and pushing the success of it forward. We are planning to finish the interior works in November and hand over keys to the ridges owners, ultimately finishing the common areas (spa, fitness, parking, etc.) in May 27. The Mons Orbelus Owners community wanted to celebrate in Bansko - it was a lovely get-together with many of the community joining. It already is a success in itself, the people contributing, community chats, shared interests, a general uplift from everyone involved. See the journey from concrete to a finished outside and the milestone dinner meetup below:
From bare concrete, this is how it started

The reason it all matters, the people

Thank you again for being part of this. See you at the next one.
All the best to you,
Uwe
